Artist creates book of nudes for the blind

Toronto artist, Lisa Murphy has created tactile, touchable handmade books for the blind.  The nude photographs are accompanied by regular images and descriptions of the images written in Braille. National Post, April 14, 2010

 

Montreal

Rooms with a view

At Auberge Les Passants du Sans Soucy, a small inn in Old Montreal, owner Daniel Soucy got the idea of combining art and accommodation back in the 1980s, when there were no hotels in Old Montreal, let alone any with fine art on the walls… Another gallery that mixes art and short stays is Pink Espace.  Both establishments have successfully connected buyers with local artists.
